Sometimes, the toughest conditions make for the best shots.
At the MTB Bundesliga in Gedern, I had the chance to capture my friends racing through pouring rain, deep mud, and wild wind – a true test of both rider and photographer.
Despite the stormy weather, or maybe because of it, the images from this race turned out intense and full of energy. Flying mud, grit-covered faces, and raw determination made every frame unique. There’s something powerful about photographing people you know, especially when they’re giving it everything out there on the course.
It was messy, wet, and cold – but absolutely worth it. Moments like this are why I love what I do.
